Buying a GPS

I am on the market for a GPS, I don't have huge budget ($200), at first I intend to buy a used one. Buy I happened to know that the Garmin Nuvi 360 3.5 inch GPS, is for $250. This Gps seems very nice got nice reviews:

This is the smallest, most elegant and compact AIO (all in one) GPS navigation solution I've come across. The mapping details are excellent. The Nuvi 360 has map v8 updated from the v7 in the Nuvi 350. The voice prompts are loud, clear and timely. The ease of use is just fantastic and the visibility and quality of the display are very good.
What do you think of it, do any of you have any experience with it, I don't want to waste my money on anything that is terrible. If it is truly good I will get it even it is $50 over my budget. And I will be very glad if you can tell me something better with nice price. Thanks in advance......

All the main mfg AIO GPSs are very good and will get you where you're going. There may be some differences in the currency of maps and some stylistic differences in the interfaces between brands. Also there will be more features (like mp3, traffic, etc) as you go higher up the product lines. But you won't find any of them "terrible" for $200.

My son has the Nuvi 360 and loves it.

I would recommend getting a nice case for it too. The Gilsson RSP3N - Deluxe case for automotive GPS units is excellent ($25)

I just got a Nuvi 350 fro $279 from Walmart. I did a fair amount of research and decided on the Nuvi 660 or 350. I got the 350 b/c it was ~$125 less and I decided I didn't need traffic. Here's a site I used in my research... GPSmagazine's GPS Buyer's Guide.
BTW, my 350 came with a nice case.

I own the Garmin Nuvi 360 and let me tell you, it's great! Actually one of the best GPS systems I've owned....if not THE best.

Yes - but that case doesn't hold all the cables.

don't know if you found one, if you're still looking, go with a tomtom xl-s. Very basic, yet reliable and very accurate with added features once you master it.....very user friendly too, check it out if you have a chance.

Hi, Don't you have a PDA?

There's a lot of app for PDA that could run a decent GPS program; all you need is that the PDA has a bluetooth inter phase and a GPS receiver and you will have a good system up and running.

Gps receiver could cost you about $60
