Nice review... I dont read many reviews as they are just too plane blahh to me.. but this one was well written!!! :approve:

I almost bought one of these... if it had wifi.....
the Out of the box as this review shows - shows the unit for what it is.. although there is more to it where you can install additional software and do more with this unit ( I will leave it at that but if you need to delete that part cool.... :hide: )

a guy had one on ebay and he was doing tons of stuff with it so it has potential......

Yeah, underneath it's supposed to be WM 5, but it's crippled as it comes. You don't get Activesync, so you can't explore easily. I did connect it to a PC before I installed their software and it mounted as a disk drive, so I could explore it a bit. I suppose you could gain control of it that way, but then I suspect any warranty from HP would be violated. In any event, it would not be a trick for a "regular" user, but maybe a power user could do something. But even so, you'd still have only the dumbed-down version of Nav'n'Go.

not necessarily... a guy on ebay was selling one.. he said he was able to get activesync to work, install apps, other gps software, games, etc... it was great he said.. although he said it was more of a glorified movie player, nintendo ds as it doesnt have wifi...... he was selling it with all kinds of stuff.......


yes I do understand this would void any warranty....

however....
if you
1. backup the unit
2. get stuff to work...

it would make a great unit for movies, games, navigation.... I only did not buy one as I need wifi......

the guy on ebay did say some apps would not install.. and yeah im assuming due to ce 5 and not wm5 or wm6

all in all it is pretty cool... :approve:
