iGuidance V3

I would like to know whether anyone has any knowledge on whether I can install iGuidance V3 on a X5 300mhz 32mb PPC? I know the onboard memory isn't sufficient enough to have the software on the PPC, but, can the entire iGuidance V3 be installed on the SD card? Thank you.

It can be, if you gave a big enough card.

you copy the data to a correct folder on the card
\storage card\iNav iguidance\ (bunch of DAT files)

you install iguidance to the SD card
\storage card\program files\iNav\iGuidance\ (bunch of exe's)

I have a 2gb SD card. But, I don't really know how large of a memory I will need for the iGuidance V3. Thanks.

It depends on how many maps you plan to use....With V3 you can select the maps you want to install, so if you are only going to install maps for a few states, you won't need to use a bunch of space on the SD card. If you plan to install maps for all the states, then the space requirements will probably be similar to V4 (approximately 1.3 GIG).

Thanks. So, I should use active sync to installing the software along with the maps and select the SD card, right?

Yes - Just follow the instructions that came with the software. I have V3 and all the maps will fit on a 2Gb SD card.

Activesync to install the program to the storage card. You will use the map loader on the PC to select what to include in the map, but you will want to use a card reader if you have one to copy the maps to the card as it's a really slow process using Activesync.
