I have the Navigon 7100 and I have a question... when going to something within the same state say 65 miles away it takes like 7 min for the routing to be done before I can start... and after that the map seems to be a little behind but the voice is not...

I did have Navigon on my Qtek 9100, but have since stopped using that phone, Not because of the Navigation.

My experience with it here in Europe was that it loaded quickly, would plan a route, including 600km across Germany, in less time than it took me to start the car and get out of my driveway.
I was constantly astounded by it's accuracy, the maps and voice were spot on, even the speed warnings came within metres of the Speed signs.

I believe it is a European company, so it may not have put as much effort into it's US software.

7 minutes? too long. It is supposed done in a few seconds. You could contact device manufacturer for help. There must be something wrong.

turns out I had it in walking mode and not car mode...

my destination was some 70 miles away so that would of been a lot of walking lol
