my n95 was sooo much better than my n96.


the only reason i upgraded to the n96 was because the lying turds said it would have freeview built into it.......................................they just failed to tell us that they were lying about including it for the uk...the sh*ts lol.

Going back to your original question,

I would say get a BT GPS.
The receiver can live in your golf bag or pocket, most have enough battery life to last 72 holes.
No added drain on the Ax battery.

Leave the receiver turned on the whole time, that way it always has the signal.
Turn your Ax on and off as needed, it then just needs to reconnect the BT and not start the whole process of acquiring satellites etc

The actual on time for the Ax should be little enough for the battery to get you through 18 holes, unless you want to watch yourself walking.

whats the cheapest BT gps i could get that would work with my x50 (running wm6.1)?

Sorry, I can't answer that, you need to do a bit of research for your area.
I can't remember where you are, UK certainly but perhaps Ireland?

They have become quite cheap, you can get some in the states for 30 bucks.
Most should work, but but you never know.
A google will find you lots of places to buy.

yeah just done a quick search on flebay and saw this LINK

around £35 posted. i'm sure with a bit more digging around i'll find somet similar for less :D
