Changing BT-309 Battery

How does one change the battery???

Where do you get the battery from???

Does it require a licensed and certified professional???

Would it have voided the warranty when it was still in effect???

TIA.

There seems to be a couple of different versions out there. Some seem to have a removable battery while others don't. I am not sure how old yours is or if you got if from Dell are not. You should be able to buy a smaller GPS for around $50. I don't really think you need to be too concerned about a warranty as the BT-309 are older units.

Dell BT-309 GPS Receiver.

That is the type I have. Sorry couldn't find a decent picture but this one is nice and big! Unfortunately it's in another language. The other pics I tried to link all had expired links.

Looking at mine, you should just be able to remove the 4 small screws on the bottom and crack the case open.
Then you could replace the battery with one like this.

Knowing the reason for your question I'm guessing that might not help much.
