Converting USB GPS to Axim

I currently have a Deluo GPS receiver that uses USB for my laptop. I just purchased a new dell Axim 400 and was wondering if there is a converter that will allow me to use my laptop GPS receiver with my Axim?

I don't know much about it but yeah you can get a USB CF adapter somewhere, only USB 1.1 I believe, but still would do the trick there I think...not too sure how the power would go though.

How does your deluo connect to your laptop?..

I have a deluo also, .. but its Serial,
the serial converts to USB for my PC, and
coverts to the axim connector for my axim...

So if your deluo mouse has a a serial connection
all you have to do is goto deluos website
and buy the Axim cable

that's the problem, it's USB. I was thinking that a USB to serial connector might work, but then doesn't power come through USB??

fyi... I've tried this very thing with an Earthmate usb GPS and ended up paying alot more for converters/serial/nullmodem/serial/cables etc
and NEVER was able to get it to work.

I ended up selling the GPS on Ebay for almost as much as I paid for it and turned around and bought a Deluo GPS and cable that works with the laptop AND another to work with my Axim and ended up paying less than I did with the USB converter cable scenario.

Hope that helps,
Dennis

I had a Haicom USB GPS
But I don't succed yo connect to Axim by USB
So I sold it and buy the same , but serial for Axim AND with a cable to USB for PC, so it's universal
