Wow! this site is great, I just got my x5 with the same GPS bundle and I have exactly the same problem!! I spent all day messing with it, I come here and now I can fix the problem right away!!! Thanks!

The CD shipped with the bundle has the wrong maps

I didn't find out about this until right before I left on my trip. I think you should be able to get a new CD that contains the correct maps.

*** You should not have to unload the major road maps to use active guidance!!! ***

Once I got the correct maps, everything worked great. I did a 2400-mile trip from Maryland to Florida and back again, and the only times I missed my destination was when I didn't listen to my voice prompts!

So I'm assuming you got a new cd... did you go thru buygpsnow (or who ever you bought the kit from) or did you talk to mapopolis directly? If you have an e-mail or an phone # of a contact that would be great. So you can run the county maps with the larger state maps?
