can anyone tell me which map do i need to load for brooklyn, NY
I see the one for queens, bronks, new york, but no brooklyn :(

If you mean the city of Brooklyn, you need to download/load the map of Cattaraugus county. If you want the borough of Brooklyn you need to download/load the map of Kings county, New York. The mapopolis web site had a very nice searchable index of cities or locations. Its free to check which map you need.

I just upgraded to version 4.3 or whatever the latest one is and it doesn't read my version 1 maps :(

Yeah the NB maps only work with version 3 (which doesn't work properly on pc2003). NC maps are for version 4, if you just bought your maps recently mapopolis is generally good about pro rating your new maps. I.e. if you bought this in the last six months their policy is "supposed to be" that you are only charged 50% of the cost for the new mapset. 4 has several nice new features but if you ask me, not enough to justify paying again if you didn't buy it a year ago. Maps change constantly and because of the way navtech sells their updated maps mapopolis has to pay for every new set--therefore we do too.
