Pocket Streets and London map problems

I've been searching around all evening trying to find out if anyone else is having the same problem that I am... Pocket Streets 2003, Axim x3i will not open certain maps of london downloaded from MS.

Files in question London (Central) & London (North) approx 2-3 MB in size per piece. Files size not an issue, b/c I have successfully opened 3 MB map files of other locations.

I have plenty of memory free.

Eliminated corrupt file possibility by downloading the files numerous times from various locations.

Each file when opened just gives me the circle with the changing colours.

Occasionally I can make a selection on the screen and the name of the street will come up, keep in mind that the map is not visible at this point.

Does anyone know where I can get a functional, highly detailed map of London that works with Pocket Streets 2003? I am getting desperate!

I don't know about Pocket Streets, but if you are getting desparate, London is one of the cities covered by Vindigo and works pretty well. I used it a few months back.
