BTC Mouse GPS......any way to fix baud rate so it sticks?

Hi All
I Got one of those cheapo BTC mouse gps units from semsons for a unit I can keep in the car. It works really well except that when it's first plugged into the axim I have to go to the utility and change the baud rate from 9600 to 4800 or it makes the axim run like a snail.

Is there any way to permanently change the default baud rate? I've heard there's some kind of issue with mouse gps on the axim if you soft reset without the gps installed if one's never been used before :crooked: Anyone know more about that?.

Right now every time I use the BTC I have to open up the test utility, change the baud rate, com port etc and then plug in the gps to get it all working. This is kind of a PITA, there should be a way wo change the default baud rate so it sticks.

Once I get past this issue it's a decent little gps unit, fixes almost immediately when run under mapopolis (probably all the messing around I have to do before it works right gives it a chance to fix).
