tomtom software doesn't work with X3?

I tried to buy the tomtom software through tomtom.com, but when you check out, they ask you what ppc you have and the X3i wasn't listed. so, i emailed them and they said that the tomtom software isn't compatible with the X3i. Please tell me that this person doesn't know what they're talking about. i've read several posts that have led me to believe that it works fine.

well crap

so, this was the third post i have made on aximsite.com's forums and have never recieved a reply on any of them. is it because i'm a newbie that everyone ignores me? i don't think any of them were dumb questions. maybe this is a closed forum. or maybe you have to own your axim for 3 years. or maybe you have to know the club hand shake. or maybe you're required to use smileys to get a reply ....

:D :D :D

joshbish, the problem is that unless a reader with a X3i actually HAS TomTom installed, they cannot guarantee to you that it will work. Logically, it should, but who knows what weirdnesses might crop up.

Fortunately, AlanSinfield has that combination and was able to help.

No secret handshakes, no closed forum, just a desire NOT to give a bad answer...

BTW, what were the other two posts? Can we help?

UPDATE: I looked at your other two posts, one was for GPS about connecting your phone to the Axim. Again, if someone has that phone and an X3, then they can answer. I don't have that phone or an X3, so my answer is "I don't know." Anybody out there able to help?

Have you bought Tomtom yet? Did it work with your X3 axim?

I need to buy a GPS system and would like it attached to the X3, but was told by a shop that it wouldn't work with it. I do not have bluetooth but it should not matter. I wanted it specifically for the car using the Dell.

Cheers
Em

I have been using TomTom on my X3i for just over a week now and it works fine. I'm using a Hicom mouse GPs with it and have not experienced any problems so far.
