Ok, does anyone have any suggestions and reasons on a good quality gps system to use in the car every once in a while? Mostly for my wife, she liked my Ax so much I bought a new one, to use around town so she does not get lost.
For in the car directions and maps, Mapopolis and the Holux CF Card receiver are a nice combination. Put the maps on an SD card and it's a wireless package that will work well.
Both Mapopolis and Semsons (The manufacturer of the Holux) are members of the www.GPSPassion.com buyer's club and give discounts to members. Pocketnav.com also has bundles for Mapopolis and Holux. There may be others. You might google for them.
I purchased the Pharos Pocket PC Navigation Kit off the Dell Web Site and it has been a great product for me. Comes with the Compact Flash GPS which was very easy to set up. Maps so far have been good and their support has been fantastic. They have been quick to respond to any inquiry I have had.
I know that there have been mixed reviews on this product but for me it has surpassed what I had hoped.
