Dell GPS Software any good

I am thinking about getting the dell bluetooth gps for my axim x30. Does it come with good map software. I am a park ranger and i was wondering if it had good maps for mountain roads or does it just have maps for city and highways. If the map software isn't very good are there other programs that are better that are inexpensive. Or is there a different gps unit that is better with better software than the Dell gps.

Thanks for the help.

IMO the mapping software is great for the towns and city's
The Mountain roads here in Colo are all mapped out as far as I can tell from my travels.
but as for off road mountain travel? I would guess topo mapping software would suit you better.
I go to RMNP here in Colo and the paved\named roads are mapped
but have not played with it off road

My next question is if the mount that it says it comes with on the dell website, is it for the gps or will the axim fit into it. I don't really need one for the gps but it would be nice to have one for the axim. If mount doesn't work for the axim can you suggest any good mounts.

Thanks

The mount is for the axim not the GPS unit, it just sits on dash or where ever you want it
Im waiting for Pro Clip to come out with one for the axim x50v they say this month some time http://www.proclipusa.com/home/home.aspx :approve:
But you have a x30 they may have one for that model now

I got it a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Very accurate and easy to use.

The Dell software is pretty good. If it's paved, it's probably in the database. Dirt roads are there, too, but some might be missed, particularly if they are really just a trail. What park? We can look at it to see what's in there for you.
