Canada is ..... north america, right?

I bought SA 2005 and dumped it for Belkin BT. It works great on x50v till I reached my destination in a small town, Ontario Canada. It shows this town, Brantford consisting of a few main arteries. One of them does not even have numbers. The local host drove me around in his new Acura. OMG, this baby can tell whether it is parked on a driveway or on a street.

Anyone know a software that good for both US and Canada. Most of gps claim to work in North America but IMHO, it's misleading. I'm sure a 4 digit GPS can have that acuracy but what about those for a few hundred bucks? I don't need POIs, or any whistles and bells. I just need one that can tell me where I am.

TIA,

C.

Last time I checked it was still part of North America. :) Not very helpful but I couldn't resist. ;)

You know, I had to jump on this bandwagon also. Unless Canada had an earthquake which seperated it from the continental US, it's North America.

As with any wireless service, I have found less than satisfactory coverage for jut about every service I have subscribed to in the past. Too many companies are trying to cover 'everywhere'. If I wanted GPS, I would probbly buy a dedicated device as I haven't heard much positive feedback about the GPS stuff for PPC.

Cheers.

Just for clarity, GPS is the satellite system and receivers associated with them. GPS works world-wide. You are referring to mapping software, which varies widely in interface and maps. Different vendors have different degrees of detail in parts of Canada. You might look at Mapopolis, for example. The software is free and you can download maps of the Brantford area that last 9 days for demo. That will show the level of detail available from NavTeq, the map database used by Mapopolis/Routis/Dell/iNav/PrymeNav and OCN.

It should. It's NMEA standard compliant and so is the Belkin GPS receiver.
