Deluo GPS and Software Frustration

Okay. Does anyone have a good recommendation on GPS software that is supported by the Deluo WAAS GPS? I wrote the company trying to find out if the GPS system highlighted on this AXIMSITE is compatible with the AXIM X3. They responded yes. As a result of that feedback, I purchased their Deluo WAAS GPS system. When it came I found out that my AXIM couldn't "see" the GPS. I messaged Deluo and asked what went wrong and inquired about the software support (RAND McNALLY StreetFinder). That software IS able to support the GPS to the laptop, but not the AXIM, the whole reason why I purchased the Deluo.

Their response amounted to "Rand McNally Streetfinder does not have support for GPS on its Pocket PC version" NOW YOU TELL ME.
They went on to suggest I UPGRADE the software to one that would work with the PDA. :rolling: Why couldn't they just tell me that their GPS' need specific software to work with PDAs?

Anyone have any recommendations. Not sure how much more money I want to spend on this thing at this point....

What do you want to do? Directions? Voice prompting? Just maps? Just maps with GPS tracking? Geocaching? Lots of products work with the X3.

Thank you for responding. I travel for work and want to be able to load maps into my X3 and use it to get around when I'm driving around in states I'm not familiar with. I need to be able to get directions and maps with GPS tracking. I already have a maps program that works fine (Streetfinder) but again, not with the GPS system. I don't even know what the word 'Geocaching' means so you got me on that one. :rolling: I've been reading like a sponge in water all over the GPS section of the AXIMSITE and have learned enough to know that the IGuidance software seems like a relatively inexpensive, yet quality product. What's your thoughts?

You can also try Mapopolis. They have a maps which you can try free for a trial period.

You will also find many proponents of the other popular mapping/street navigation software packages made to work with GPS: OnCourse Navigator, Tom Tom, Pocket Map Navigator, and a few others.
