GPS software to measure vehicle performance?

I just got thinking, is there software out there that could use your in-car GPS to measure performance like 0-60, 1/4 mile, or track-day telemetry? That would be pretty cool to have. A GTech Pro is around $2-300 and can give you these readouts, but it uses accelerometers to measure HP, speed, etc.

The delays on GPS systems would not likeky allow for accurate measurements.

Delays and the tolerance for each fix would combine to make any readings unreliable.
