If you have the external foldable keyboard and you cant connect with your wired gps (it appears the "port com1 does not exist" message), follow this process:

1. Start the GPS program (Tomtom, etc) BEFORE connect the axim to the gps..
2. Connect the Axim to the GPS.


This occurs because the keyboard driver assumes by default the com1 port in the serial connections. So, you must start firstly the gps software for assuming the control of that port.
