Dell Bluetooth GPS Module

How do you keep this module from flying off your vehicles dashboard.

I can see mine sailing out the passenger window on a high "G" turn.

Any suggestions other than Velcro??????

Maybe put it on the 'shelf' below the rear window?

I believe that a typical BT arrangement has an effective range of around 10 meters.

I have had my BT units sitting on my dash, held there only by the rubber feet. None of them have moved.

Another option are the leather "sticky" mats for cell phones that stick to the dash and hold just about anything in place. The last one I bought I got at CompUSA and paid about US$8.

Correct on 10 meters by specification - your mileage will vary depending on device.

There's also a 100 meter version but the power requirements are a little steep for pocket PCs.

I guy at work had a pair of 100 meter bluetooth to USB dongles to run VNC on his laptop since our IT department is too busy/paranoid to put up some 802.11b access points.
