Picking a new route

Hello,

I'm a newbie to my Axim and Pharos combo. I managed to learn how the GPS unit works with the Ostia software 5.01. But i can't figure out some questions I have.. hope you can help.

1. How do you recalculate a route ? Once you picked a destination and origin, it seems to insist on that route. Is there a way to make it choose another route? reason is the route it picks may have streets under construction. I have tried to choose faster route, shorter route, no highway but that doesnt change it.

Right now I'm just driving in the direction I want to go while I have auto-reroute turned on so it will recalculate a new route while I'm driving.

2. I thought this would be a good feature but I dont think Ostia has it. Say I'm lost somewhere. I can't even read the road signs. Is there a way to get the GPS to automatically locate where I am and direct me to my desired destination? I seem to only be able to program contact, address, point of interest, intersection. I thought it would be nice if the GPS used it's intelligence and figured out where I was.

3. Are there other voice libraries for the voice prompts?

Thanks,

Allen
