Tom Tom 5 on X50 - Memory Leak?

I've read about the memory leak Tom Tom 5 has on the X50v that causes it to crash. The posts indicate that the leak is specifically related to VGA devices.

Would you expect Tom Tom 5 to have the same problem on the X50 which isn't a true VGA device? I own an X50 and have been hesistant to order Tom Tom 5 out of concern for this problem.

Is anyone using Tom Tom 5 on an X50 without problems. Or should I expect the same problem the X50v has to surface on my X50 with Tom Tom 5?

You will not get the VGA bug, but you will get the others.

Tomtom have told me that they will be issuing an "Upgrade" soon. You can either wait and buy it fixed, or buy it now and hope the bug fix doesn't take too long to come.

Good Luck

Martin,

Thank you for your reply. Can you tell me what the "other" bugs are that I will experience? Can you live with the other bugs or are they show stoppers?

Thank you.

There's a list of known bugs here.

GPS & GPRS via Bluetooth

I am using tomtom navigator 5 on my Axim x50v

I have a bluetooth GPS device and want to use traffic update via my mobile phone, is there a workaround for this as as far as I can tell its not possible to connect to my GPRS on my phone and also my bluetooth GPS receiver at the same time.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.

PS this is my 1st ever post so forgive me if ive done anything wrong
