Hmm GPS Help...Important

What's up everyone.....i was hoping that someone can help me i live in Guyana which is in South America and i would like to know which GPS systems would work down here and which would be the best reciever to get. I am using the Axim X50.

More important than which receiver, you might want to first find out who publishes software that has maps for SA. Then see if it runs on a PDA, then pick your GPS.

Any gps will work anywhere in the world to give you location, but as Scrondar said, it would be difficult to find Mapping software for your area. If you use GPS tuner, you can scan a paper map and then calibrate it so it will give you position on the map. Calibrating can be a pain though, and you'd have to read the directions carefully, and make sure the map is oriented North when its scanned.
