FYI When I ordered iGuidance I opted for the 3 cd set (v2.1.1) as opposed to the DVD (v2.1.2). But when my order arrived on the 3 cd set it was v2.1.2 much to my surprise. Furthermore there is a patch already out to this version AND their support forum is returning:
Hi John:
Thank you for completing your iGuidance registration.
A patch file w/ bug fix for Contact lookup will be emailed to you later tonight. If you don't receive it (the 17MB zip file may exceed the max. file attachment size allowed by your ISP), the same file will be available on our website as a free download during 1st week of 9/2005, at the same time we launch our new iGuidance User Forum.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

The patch is still not ready for download from thier site, they are working on that. Does anyone know if the patch can just be applied...or will this be yet another full reinstall?

its supposed to fix thngs like OffRoad alerts when you aren't off the road and the outlook look up problem. I think i read somewhere it fixes the problem with the map in Texas (amarillo?) being messed up. Sorry about the TX thing, i can't remember exactly where the problem is but it is TX for sure.
edit: I emailed them because the patch was supposed to be posted by now and isn't showing up on their site. It was too big to be emailed to most of us.

As I recall, the upgrade to 2.1.2 corrected the El Paso, Texas bug.

Update: iGuidance responded about posting the patch: they have to fix something on their end before they post it. 1-2 weeks. I will post their actual answer as soon as Hotmail comes back up.

Yup...I got the same answer. Once again, it will be interesting to see how the patch is applied. Here's hoping it is simple!

I just ordered Iguidance, I hope it comes with the fix already in it. I am eagerly waiting for DHL to come as we speak!

here is their actual response: Our web programmer needs to restructure the registration database. Once
that's fixed, the file will be posted and users should be able to download.
ETA 1-2 weeks.

Thank you for your patience.
