I posted this over at Oncoursenavigator.com, but thought I would post here at Aximsite as well.
I have an Axim X30H with OCN5 program and SE region map installed on 512mb SD Card. I have ~48 mb free memory.
I was using OCN5 on a business trip this week, and one morning the software would not load. I would start OCN5, and after a few seconds, the screen would revert to the Today screen, with just about 1/2" of the OCN splash screen displayed at the top. The software would not load.
I soft-resetted 1/2 dozen times or so to no avail. I then uninstalled OCN thinking somehow in was corrupted. When I tried to open the CAB file stored on the SD card for re-install, I received the following error -- "EasyPocketNAV OnCourse Navigator.CAB is not a valid Windows CE Setup file." I then did a hard reset of the axim, and tried again with the same error.
Just got home and re-installed from disk, and program is running again. The CAB file was re-installed as well. I thought the purpose of this was to re-install the program without having to use the set-up disks. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
Thanks, Rob
