how is a laptop in the car feasible? I don't see it as being that at all!

The latest version of iGuidance is 2.1.1 correct? What differs from 2.1 as that is one I got to "see" first hand.

Not as a "dedicated" GPS solution (that would be the X50v of course). However, sometimes I use my laptop while somebodyelse is driving (have a power adapter/converter for in-car use). In those situations, it would be nice to run the iGuidance on the laptop as well. Otherwise it would be too cumbersome for sure...

Here's my experience from buygpsnow.com. I bought my gps last Nov. the gps went broke a few weeks ago, so I asked for an RMA. Buygpsnow.com not only sent me a new unit, but also they don't mind cross-shipping for my upcoming trip. I didn't mind sending my unit back paying extra $$ because the service was well worth.

just BEFORE i order, can anyone confirm what I get?
OnCourse/BT bundle:
- OCN5 w/ my choice of map activated (Canada)
- Globalsat BT-338 with latest firmware (3.1.1)
- Arkon vent mount
- Car power adapter
- Wall/AC charger
- Y-cable so I can charge both my Axim X50v AND the GPS together?

I didn't order the bundle so cannot comment on the map, but the rest I did receive with my order. The receiver came with a case too.

If you're that worried, I'd email them to confirm what exactly you'd be getting. At least you'll have sonething in writing for your peace of mind.

That's my understanding of OCN, but you might check with users of OCN. I do know that iGuidance DOES include PC navigation software in the PDA package.

I just got Iguidance and BT 338 from Buygpsnow.com. These guys have awesome customer service! You can't go wrong with them... After evaluating OCN5, TTN5 and Iguidance I decided to stick with Iguidance. My only complain is the horrible voice but that can be fixed. And yes it does run in a laptop... HTH!
