I have iGuidance program and maps loaded on a A-Data 2G sd card. The program hangs in about 20 or 30 minutes. I tried many times, it awlays happens. The map size I loaded is about 830M. When it hangs, in most cases it freezes the ppc. What could be the reason. I saw some posts that 512M is the limit. But the map loader did not complain the size. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you have a memory leak. Try starting with more free memory. You'll still get a lockup eventually, but the more memory you start with the longer you can go before it happens.

It does in deed sound like a memory leak. I have the entire US on a 2.2g microdrive and do not have a problem. not sure where the 512 story comes from but it doesn't seem right. Make sure that you aren't running anything else when you start the program. Also make sure that if you are running a bluetooth gps, you don't have both BT and WIFI running. Also, did you install the program to main mem or BIS? I put mine in BIS and it runs fine plus it doesn't eat up mem that way.
edit: i see you loaded the program on your mem card. I have seen other people do that and it worked ok. I havent tried that since my entire drive is used up with the map.

Program is stored in the SD card. The old Belkin software works fine. The iGuidance Version I am using is 2.10. Could it be the A-Data 2G SD card? I have plenty of memory 27M (program + storage). Anyone has the A-Data 2G sd card (got it from newegg.com).
