Gah! OCN5 error! In the middle of a trip! $5 via paypal to whoever posts this file!

So I launched OCN5 after being an hour away from my house and got a "Could not load ressource DLL. DLL: SD Card\EasyPocketNAV OnCourse Navigator\langGER.dll Error:126"

I've still got a way to go, i'm in the middle of a trip right now, and have no idea how to get around. I can't reinstall the software, because all of that is back at my house, and i'm at Towson now picking up my girlfriend. I don't leave till tomorrow morning, but I NEED this GPS stuff tomorrow. I've got a SD reader here, is there anyone could upload this DLL file and i'll replace it assuming its corrupt? Or if someone has a better soultion, i would appreciate it!

Thanks!

It may be that the SD card has somehow become corrupted so it can't read that file. If you have a card reader, try scanning it for errors on the PC.
You can also try a soft reset to see if that helps.

Good luck, hope everything works out ok for you.

Hmm, I don't see it on the SD card using the card reader. Is there anyway you or someone else can post the file so i can try that?

I thought that ocn put a cab file in your main memory for just that purpose, to reload in case of error. check your file explorer for a cab file

There should be a cab file there. Try to open it. If it doesn't open, look at the properties, and check or uncheck the Read Only attribute and try again.

You will need your activation number though. If you don't have it handy, I think you are out of luck.

When you get back home, look on the pdf instruction manual on the DVD .. it explains how to create a folder with the appropriate files on your SD or CF card in case this happens and you need to re-install. I realize this doesn't help you now, sorry.

I haven't actually tried this install ... but it's supposed to work :approve:

Gah, it looks like that cab was corrupt. I ran it, it said this file is not a valid cab file, and deleted it. I have my activation number because its on the website under my account, but i need that cab file. If anyone with ocn5 knows where i could download it or even possibly upload it themselves that would be awesome.. its only about 12 megs.

Even giving me the file name would be great, i might be able to google it.

Yeah, for $180 you'd think it wouldn't have this problem...

I'm gonna be leaving in a couple of hours, can't someone PLEASE post that file? Anyone with OCN5 has it its just the 12.5MB cab file on your installation drive, it could easily be put on putfile or emailed to my gmail corey.garst@gmail.com. I'd be more then happy to copensate someone $5 via paypal for doing this.

Don't create new threads for this please.

Did you try and contact the tech support directly? You're on very shaky ground asking for the file on here.

The file is just for restoration and does no good without a registration code and maps so it should be fine, plus I don't have time to wait for their support to email me back days later, I need to leave in two hours. I was hoping I would've gotten it by asking and leaving overnight, so I'm going into desperating here.

Its just me, but you have an error showing the following -> "..EasyPocketNAV OnCourse Navigator\langGER.dll.." and this file is a 76k application extension file. But you're in Maryland, US of A. Why a german language DLL instead of a "langUSE.dll" ?

I know - I understand your predicament. That's why the thread is still here ;)

But it takes 30 seconds to send off an email. I think it should have been your strategy to start with just on the off chance that they DID get it and reply.

Anyway - I can't help, sorry. But I believe Gmail has a 10MB limit on attachments (or they used to) so you might have problems having someone email the file.

No idea.. I've never used german in the program, I guess it just needs it tt load. Dammit, well it looks like I've gotta mapquest the rest of the way.
