Yes it works!!!!!

 :yeah:

Hi All,

I'm just adding this so someone else does not make the mistake I did. I'm sure it has been posted before but can't help myself I'm so darn happy..

Anyway now to the point of this thread.

I have a dell axim x50v loaded when I bought it, and tought I would get a gps setup for it because I have driven several cars with factory installed gps's and WOW are they awsome!! The one I went with (before I remembered I booked marked this site ) was the Street Atlas USA Handheld + Blue Logger GPS. The Blue Logger GPS is wonderful the software is the worse a person could use, wont auto reroute, locks up, poor options, setup to put maps on the axim is a joke :uglyhamme !!! I was thinking maybe the axim was to slow to handle the software and maps "wrong". Its the software!!!

Proof its the software. I needed a car mount and went to Arkon because of stuff I read on this site.. Decided on the CM720 from Arkon. Called them before I bought it to make sure it was in stock and the salesman talked me into the MobiNavigator software. He also threw in the vent mount and gave me $10.00 because of this site.. He assured me I would like the software, Said it was the same as what Dell uses and other top GPS software companys.

Just got it yesterday and installed on my PC and Axim. WOW it is awsome!!! Does everything just like the ones in factory installed on cars. Hooked right up to my bluelogger and sent me to the location I installed. I went off course severl time to see how good it would reroute, it was spot on never missing!! I will admit it was a tad bit slower that the factory installed units in cars but $500.00 -vs- $1500.00 it will work ok.. The voice promts sound just like the ones in the factory car units I'm thinking they might use the same software..

Anyway I would like to thank this great site in helping me get what I wanted and I hope this post saves someone else the headaces I went through!!!

I made the exact same mistake. I was hoping to use SAHH for street and topographic navigation which it is supposed to do. You like me should have read DeLorme's own forum. SAHH get slammed in there all the time. I and others have slammed it here also regularly. If you complain to DeLorme as I did, you are told how hard it is to program for handheld and to use the laptop version. First it can not that hard to program for the handheld, because there are plenty of great programs out there. Second if I wanted laptop navigation software, I would have bought that. I feel your pain.

I also checked programs out here and gpspassion.com. Decided on OCN5 for street navigation and Memory-Map Navigator (www.memory-map.com) for topographic mapping. There are other fine programs out there including the one you chose. Enjoy your new toy.
