I just ordered mine at the discount price with free shipping, even though the page referenced above says the deal expires at 10 EST on 20th. That's $220 CAD off, plus free shipping. Couldn't help myself!

When I filled in the order, it says it expires on the 23th October. WooHoo! (Now, how to break the news to my wife!)

i have the reliable x5 rock solid and with all the accessories which i have found out to be completely incompatible with x51v

just placed my order and pondering if i need both?

i have a 3300 mah batt in my x5 which last forever the new one will be difficult to beat x5

I'm going to hang onto my X5, as a backup, until I'm completely satisfied with the X51v. The X5 does everything I want, except VGA. I have a Wi-Fi card for the X5 and don't really need Bluetooth. However, I might buy a Bluetooth slipper for the GPS receiver so I can just leave it plugged in, instead of hastling with the CF receiver each time I need GPS. I'm hoping I can sell the X5 and Wi-Fi card to reduce the net cost of the X51v even more. The X5 has served me extremely well, but it's an opportune time to move on.

How often are these Dell Days of Deals typically? I saw two already (one before the x51 came out, once just this past week) but noticed the last one too late - friend wanted one - any chance they might do a similar deal again before the end of the year?

Since Dell's quarterly profit is slower this year, we might see Dell Days more often. There was one in early sept. I expect to see one on early december. That's my guess.

I bought an x51v there too =)

Just checked the Canadian site - right now x51v is $509 until November 10 - not bad but still not as good as$379, I guess :)

I got mine mid-October for full price but it was worth it because I needed it for a conference - Dell had it shipped to my place within 4 business days when I told them I wouldn't pay for it if it arrived after I left for the conference (they had promised that it would arrive before a week)...

Hi Freakit! Sorry to be late replying but I just stumbled on this thread again. The X51V was delivered October 27th--just 4 days after I ordered it. I got so frustrated over ActivSync problems I was ready to send it back, however, things have settled down and I'm really enjoying it. My Magnum case is en route and will probably arrive in a day or so. Tried synching with bluetooth and had no luck. Returned the Bluetooth adapter, but might try again, now that a tutorial has been posted on how to set it up ([url]http://axim.dpicts.com/[/url]). Hope you have received yours by now, and enjoy it as much as I do mine!
