Whats the difference between the UK and US version? If I bought it from the US, would the warranty be valid? It might be worth buying something from the states and getting it shipped over. I could even get it sent to a US address first if they won't ship abroad? :azz:

I bought a US model on ebay, and am in the UK. The only difference is there is only 11 wifi channels, in practice though few people use the other 2 channels in my experience. In our office we don't because some of our laptops are US models so we can't.

Friday? You Think? I just LOST my X30H last week :( at my office. I think someone swiped it. Thank god it was password-protected - but this would've been a nice upgarde and a good excuse. I could use the CF slot on this to transfer my music collection - get rid of my MP3 player instead.

I hope they have another deal soon.

I paid more than that about three weeks ago. anyway what is wrong with those machines that they are not telling? already boxed but need update? I am sure there is a story with those units otherwise they would not limit the number of deals. maybe they are the ones people sent back for various reasons? what do you think?

I don't think there is a problem with them - probabaly just a push to sell some excess stock or something. They don't want to sell out so they allot a certain amount e.g. 2000.
