1 GB Sandisk SD card for $29 after rebate at Office Depot
Office Depot has the 1 GB Sandisk SD card on sale for Thanksgving for $29 after rebate. I believe that this is a 2 day only sale. The card is $99.99 with a $40 instant rebate and mail-in $20 and $10 rebates. This is the cheapest price I have seen on a 1 GB SD card. :approve:

I just came back from office depot. They sold out before I could buy one. I'm sure each store just has a few cards to get people in the door.

I keep track of my rebates and I have a very good record. I have not been stiffed at all. But they are a PITA, it takes your time, you have to pay for postage, have to wait for your money, and you have to pay tax on the retail amount before rebate - which really is a rip-off. I don't understand the business ideology involved, but they must have a pretty good reason. It looks like rebates are here to stay.

The busines ideology is that you are among the minority. Many people either don't submit their rebate claime or fail to jump through all the hoops required, or simply don't followup. In other words, they are very profitable and offer the opportunity to advertise much lower prices than are ultimately paid, on average.

I wouldn't touch a Sandisk SD card with a 10 foot pole. They are the slowest SD cards I have ever seen.

Even though Office Depot sold out of the $29 SD cards, there are a number of online stores that offer the same item for around $6 more.

hence the reason why I didn't get up early on BF
