How much of a hit on the x50v/x51v battery would an 8GB microdrive be?

Just with my 1GB SD card the battery is not too amazing. It's OK, but I fear buying a microdrive because of power consumption. Yet that 8GB drive for such a good price is very tempting.

Are there any test results regarding this subject?

I can only speak about the 4gb Hitachi ...... but battery consumption has not been an issue. I am looking hard at one of these 8gb. I am also looking at purchasing my son an x50 ---- so have to wait and see.
