Does anyone know the specifics on what the difference is between CF and SD? Is one faster/better in any way? I haven't noticed much of a difference except the SD has a lock tab you can move and it's quite a bit smaller. 256Mb on a postage stamp?

SD has the ability to protect the data if you use it on different devices (move from digital camera to PDA etc). CF does not, some devices will overwrite data because it doesn't recognize it as being a valid format of data (for instance your camera may overwrite your music files or games that you have on the card because it only looks for graphics files).
