When you buy with a PC from Dell you get the option to now purchase an Axim at 10% off, so now we can get them for $450 for a 400MHz X5. Got to love it. Gona get me one very soon.

i dont think you need to buy anything else to get the 10%. Its just 10% off handhelds and PDAs (including accessories) until 5/26. We are finally almost at the regular US price :sad:

it's still ridiculously priced here in Canada...
i just bought an Axim 300 mhz on Dell.comfor 179$ US (tax+ shipping in) which is like 245$ CND
if i had bought from Dell.ca it would have run me over 450$ with taxes and shipping (in Montreal)
that's almost double!!

What did the tax & Duty come to?

I went to dell.ca and then to dell.com to look at the network card. After doing the math, I think the card in Canada which is going for $98.10 is cheaper then the same card from the dell.com site. There it's $69.00 which I calculate to be about $104.00 Cdn.

Finally, we're getting a deal here in the great white north.

Don't forget to include the GST and PST if related to your proce comparsion. Remember that most often when your US buy arrives in Canada by what every means - UPS, Fedex or Can Post they are all going to nick you the taxes.

Now having said all that its still cheaper (sometimes) to buy US and pay all the tax costs that get added on later.

I'm not sure what the custom will be but since the taxes will be about the same it's still may be a deal for us canucks.

I had it sent to a friend in Boston who's gonna bring it up for me so there's no tax nor duty for me...
Sorry i don't have more info on that...

and by the way, I had bought it when the Canadian dollar was at it's highest last week so it came out really cheap (245$ CND)

at the same time I had the Targus 56K modem sent to Boston for 29.99 US (no tax and free shipping)

Why don't we get any good deals here?!?!
