You Get What You Pay For!
I ended getting one of these and am regretting it. I have a Canon S1 IS camera that I use primarily for video captures. The sustained write speed of this card is horrible. I wanted it for the 8GB capacity (67+ minutes @ 640x480, 30fps), however, the camera's buffer chokes after about 2 minutes and the video stops recording. This compares to a 4GB Hitachi microdrive I already have that will record 30+ minutes with no problems. I haven't done a formal sustained write test but I can tell you from normal use, it's terrible. Yes, I formatted the PQI card in the camera before recording, and the camera has the latest firmware upgrade.
The card is a deal if you're looking for a lot of (slow writing) storage. However, if performance is what you're looking for, look elsewhere. I'll end up using this card in my Axim with a bunch of movies and WMA's on it.
