OK, for all you Pocket Earth users ... having any problems with the program?
With the latest version I installed, whenever I would try to use the 'Suspend' option to leave the program, open another program, then go back into Pocket Earth, Pocket Earth would crash - a single tap on the screen would close the program completely.
I uninstalled and re-installed Pocket Earth several times (both from my handheld and from my laptop), did soft resets of my handheld, etc. but could never get 'Suspend' mode to work properly (would take me back to where I was in the program, but one tap on the screen - anywhere - would exit the program completely).
Now, I can't get Pocket Earth to run at all. I was trying to play around with the Moon and Mars maps, but then I got the message that the texture maps I have selected don't match. Couldn't get that message to go away, to I did one more round of uninstall/reinstall. Still get the message (texture maps don't match) when I open Pocket Earth, so I select the standard 'Day' and 'Night' maps, and the globe initially displays, but as soon as I tap on the screen, I'm dumped out of Pocket Earth. I uninstalled and re-installed Pocket Earth (from both handheld and laptop), and erased all the map files from both, but that still happens and now I can't do anything with the program. Arghhh!
I sent an email to Blue Point Studios but haven't heard back from them yet. Don't have a lot of time right now to play around with it to try and get it to work, either.
With all the uninstall/reinstalls I haven't had to enter my registration number again, though I thought I would need to. Maybe that has something to do with it? Any ideas on what else to try?
TIA

Something sorta like google earth for the pocket pc is called "Virtual Earth". It uses real Spics of the earth downloaded from msn...best part is...it's free! You guys should try it.
oh, oops--I completely misunderstood the deadline date in the note--I just read the post today and had no idea when September 6 might be! Let's see, it's 2006, right? Can I nominate myself for some variant of the necromancer award? I gotta get something out of this...
