Free Ninja Software - DEAD

I saw this on another board.

NTI is offering a free download of their Ninja software today only. It is regularly priced at $24.95

The Ninja software can be used with USB flash or hard drive, and SD cards, cellphones and smartphones, iPods, and MP3 players. It allows users to adjust the size of their private and public workspaces. It also gives users the ability to encrypt and password protect data.

Check it out at the following link:

Good question. It sounds cool though. Worth checking out for free anyway. Here's a link to the product page itself.

Thanks for sharing. From a quick read, I gather that this is a PC program for encrypting/passwording user defined partitions on usb drives. I wonder if it works on usb external HDs as well as flash memory?

This is great!!! I "JUST" ,as in yesterday, Installed the encrypting software that came with my i-Stick and thought it was "great" .. but it crashed my XP laptop and only worked on my win2k work pc.

I just tried this out and it works on my Win2k machine.. hopefully it'll work on my XP machines at home..

And fyi, in the configuration menu I do see my other USB drives listed as well so it should work on them.. (Im not about to try it though formatting my work USB drive is the last thing I want to do .. )

Looks like good software.I used it on one of my thumb drives and it works great. You can partition the drive and make one part public and the other private. You can open the public anytime but have to use a password for private. The only drawback is you have to install the software on any computer you use the thumb drive with. The download said it was a trial version but we will see how long it last.I hope it is free.

Yeah, the site mentioned that it would appear to be demo but that it was indeed the full version. I guess we'll see.

Anyway, we can mark this deal as DEAD.

I downloaded it. It looks cool. I'm not sure I have a huge use for it now, but as Netsyd said, you never know when it might come in handy in the future.

When I downloaded it, there was also a readme file with a full version registration code.

I installed it at home and it worked fine. I agree with the drawback that the software would have to be installed on every computer you want to use the thumbdrive on. It seems like a serious drawback if you use an interent cafe or use a friend's computer. And if you decide to install it elsewhere, you might have to have administrator rights to do it. An alternative would be TrueCrypt which is free. It does more but in turn has a learning curve. By the way, what type of encryption is used by this software? Anybody know?

Thanks.

Keith
