I guess that could be useful. If you had a keyboard.

there is no ink. it is a thermal printer. by heating parts of the special paper, they change to black.

It is a shame I don't have any money. This would fit my gadget fetish perfectly. :D

Has anyone tried this printer/ one similar??? How was the quality?
The last time I used a thermal transfer printer was with my Timex/Sinclair....
I did not realise that they were still being used...

Here is a disconcerting review on Amazon.com....
"May be great for Palm or laptop, Lousy for Pocket PC....., January 4, 2003
Reviewer: Dan Kennedy (see more about me) from Lexington, KY USA
Will not work with the new Dell Axim or most 2002 version of Pocket PC. Sipix has said "They are working on the problem" for at least a year that I know of. How hard would it be to write a driver for these handhelds? Tech support refuses to reply by e-mail and only by phone which takes 45 minutes to connect. Works OK with laptop and other than the paper only lasts for 20 printouts per roll and the curl is hard to get out it works good. "

Well, looks like SiPix now has a WinCE PPC driver. I think I'll order and hope for the best. A word of caution...Overstock's service bites.

I decided against it...the thermal paper will turn black in my car. Kinda didn't make sense when I thought about it.

Is there an actual stand-alone printer
driver for the Sipix to work with an Axim?
I purchased one and you have to use A6
Print or A6 Capture program to print out
things. What I need is to let the Sipix show up as an installed printer so my Captra Program can print out receipts/forms. Any help out there?
