Possible helpful hint: These may possibly be located at the checkout stands. They were the last time I bought some at my local MC, though it's been awhile. At the time, they hadn't started these 2GB prices. For that price, no rebates, and for folks with a local store, no shipping :approve:

Yea I just picked up a 2gb SD card for 19.99 a few weeks back. A few months ago I also bought a 1gb USB Memory stick for $14.99.

Someone gave my co-worker a Microcenter 2gb usb memory stick for Christmas then got name brand from his wife... so I think he'll trade me a $15 iTunes card for the 2gb usb memory stick.

I've got a Microcenter and a Fry's within 15 minutes from me.

Then there's the three city blocks long line of computer stores where none of the owners speak English all that well.

For parts, I roam that office park with all the little stores. MC/Fry's is good for just about everything else.

I still prefer to order online and pay a shipping cost -- just because I'm that dead-set on not paying a sales tax. heh!

400?! I didn't even notice it!!! Thanks!!

SomeYahoo:

Man, I can't thank you enough!! I just got back from MicroCenter -- I had the printed coupons and all, and went for a 2gig CF and a 2gig SD.

I found the SD no problem on the sales floor. I had to hunt down a salesmonkey to ask about the CF. The guy gave me his card and a FOUR gig CF and said to take this (his card) to the customer service desk and that I could get the 4 gig CF for the price of the 2 gig CF. I'm all smiling and everything -- thinking this is indeed my lucky day. Well, I get to the customer service desk and told them that the guy gave me his card and I can get the 4 gig CF for $25. They did indeed give me a 4gig for that price -- *****AND***** the guy pulled out the 2gig CF and said I can have it because their system was entirely wrong about having them in stock.

"SomeYahoo" -- man oh man, thank you!!! So, I now have a slew of 1giggers that I've had, and now a new 2gig SD, a new 2gig CF, and a new 4gig CF!!!

Just wanted to thank you once again!!

Just curious if the 4GB is a 120x speed and if so how is it's performance? MC has their branded 4GB CF card on sale for $59 but the one I got was incredibly slow. I returned it but they didn't have anymore in stock for me to try.

Yes, it is indeed the "120x" card -- I have yet to open the package. My X50v is still dead in the water until my eBay shipments start coming in next week.

I was thinking of using it for my Nintendo DS (I currently use a 1gig CF for my Nintendo DS). On the Nintendo forum I'm active on, a lot of my ROM/Homebrew issues are due to a slow card.

I will be testing it later on today with the Nintendo and post results.

Man... I wish I could have gotten a deal like that!!! I found the 1 gig SD at the register and that was that. The SD card works great... and the speed seems to be on-par, not that I have much experience as a new PDAer.

Either way, congrats!

Mkss55442 -- I think you may just have a bum card.

First off, for the record, I've never used anything faster than 1x (SD or CF). This 4gig "120x" card is LIGHTNING fast!!!

128meg NDS files load VERY quickly!! Castlevania:PoR works flawlessly!!

I've been using a cheap 1gig Panasonic branded CF card for the NDS. So, that card may be floating between the NDS and the X50v.

Definitely a speedy card.

I just wanted to chip in and give thanks for posting this deal. I've been looking for a good deal for a 2GB CF for weeks. My card will be at my house on Tuesday, so as kulnet would say......"Thanks for the heads up!" :approve:

P.S. Hey kulnet, have you copyrighted that catchphrase yet?
