Did some research online and ordered one last Wednesday. $98 CDN with taxes and shipping (to Toronto area); about $64 CDN when the rebate is factored in.

As for speed, I think it should be right up there with the best of them.

Thanks for the good find, I just ordered one also. It came out to be about $96 cdn total, about $75 after rebate. Still a good deal consider its a Viking.

Mine arrived yesterday, now to sit and wait for the rebate. It's $25 US so Positive_E your final cost should be lower than $75.

For those of you who have ordered, how much was shipping to Canada (Toronto area)? I see that they are located in Markham, Ontario and was wondering if they have a bricks & mortar store to go to. But on another section of the site, they say that the products are shipped from the U.S.

Shipping to Ajax was $8.32 CDN. The invoice showed a Markham letterhead but specified (as confirmed by the UPS label) that it shipped from Naperville, Illinois. I don't know the details of their operation but there wasn't an explicit charge for brokerage fees or such.

And I just checked the site again, the rebate has dropped from $25 US to $15 US, so Positive_E was right about his price being around $75 CDN after rebate. I got the $25 US one for a purchase in June so my final price is a bit lower.

It's still a good deal consider canadacomputers is selling the scandisk for $84 and lexar for $89 plus taxes.

The pre-rebate price actually lower, $74.99 instead of $76.99. I think that $59.99 is an error, looks like they've applied a $15.00 CDN rebate instead of the correct $15 US rebate.

But I agree with Positive_E, it's still a good deal. An after rebate price of around $75 works out to about $66 before taxes. That's still hard to beat right now. And I've been running programs and MP3s off it for the past couple of days without a hitch.
