Buy.com is selling 4gb CFs for $29.95 Free shipping.
I thought that this looked like a good deal. Buy.com is selling a DANE-ELEC 4gb CF card for $29.95.
Here's a link $29.95 CF Card
Very nice price, but personally I'm waiting for one of those Transcend 150x 8GB CF cards to come down in price a lot (right now @ a whopping $89.99! @ Newegg).
I just brought one from buy.com for $29 and free shipping (took 10 days to receive). Took it apart to get to the compact flash compatible drive (keep in mind this is NOT a flash memory card).
It's a good deal, BUT keep in mind there is no notch at the end of the cardlike drive like on a CF card to use your fingernail to lift it up out of the CF slot of the PPC. I have to use a small screwdriver and CAREFULLY lift it out if I want to remove it. Also because it's a drive, you do hear a little mechanical noise whenever you access this drive.

The product Axim 1 linked to is a type I CF card, ie: a flash memory card. I'm not sure what you took apart, but it probably wasn't the same one Axim 1 is talking about (which is now sold out).

Yep, your right I did reply to the wrong post. The one I wanted to post to is here http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=152105&highlight=western+digital
Sounds like culebreeze was referring to a microdrive.
For anyone who does have one (and has not yet figured out this great little trick) - in order to make removal easy because of the lack of the notch as mentioned by culebreeze, do the following:
Optimally, get one of the clear Post-It document tabs. Attach the sticky end to your microdrive (being careful of which side you attach it to so you don't cover the hole). Once inserted, you can tuck the exposed end back into the CF slot, and when you want to remove the drive, just use the tab to pull it out. Nice and easy!
If you can't get a hold of one of the Post-It tabs, you can fashion something out of two pieces of scotch tape stuck together to achieve the same thing.
