Hello All,

Does the Axim supports the SDIO (4bits).

I read that the supoort of SDIO (1bit) comes with the Xscale Processor. but not heigher.

While the processor seems to support SDIO, the actual Axim hardware might not. I'm assuming since Dell is NOT telling us it does, Axims don't support SDIO. I don't think this is something that could be fixed in a patch.

You've asked the million dollar question. And given enough time, you'll have an equal amount of people saying that it will, and people saying that it won't.

According to the technical specifications of the XScale board, the SD slots ARE capable of SDIO. So taking just that into account, yes - the Axim unit will support SDIO once some drivers are released.

On the other hand, I've heard that a certain DIP switch needs to be set on the hardware end - if this is the case, and Dell has opted out of setting that switch, it may require some sort of hardware modification that may, or may not, be possible.

I say give it about 3 months, I guarantee you by that time someone will have tested it out and will prove whether or not the Axim SD slot IS IO or not.
