They have a verbatim 256 CF card for 159.95 after a 30 mail in rebate. I almost regret taking the 64meg CF upgrade when I bout instead of the CF. CF is just so much cheater and deals are on all the time. Better buy a CF device in the future.

That's not bad... it's Canadian, I assume?

Staples pulls through, woohoo! :D

Now, if only they can get a killer deal for WiFi cards and a wirless router ;)

Peter,

Thanks a ton for the post. I'm going to check that out, and hopefully some other Canadians will, as well :)

Although, one problem - right now it seems that http://www.factorydirect.ca/ is down :(

I'll keep an eye one it, hopefully the outage won't last for long!

Nick

Hi Nick,

There should be another coupon for 128mb CF card for factorydirect.ca and is attached for your reference.

Hmmmm .. seems to be a generic brand .. I'm weary of these types of CF cards after what I've read about those who bought almost similar THL CF cards from http://www.handheldcanada.com (same prices there) .. I maybe wrong, but do check google usenet postings for buyer's experiences ..

Cheers,

Sabesh.

I wouldn't worry about generic brands. Many many people have used "el cheapo" memory cards (myself included - "Mr. Flash") for a long time with zero problems. Like most computer/electronics, if it's not DOA, it should be good for a while...

I've also have good success with "generic" flashcards in my old IPaq (not going to miss that thing). Check www.pricewatch.com, I saw 256mb cards for $66 (U.S.), 512mb for $138 delivered (ground).

Better than the coupon prices I saw in earlier posts (if you can wait to get one that is). :D
