my card was working fine, had a few bouts with information dissappearing twice and having to reformat the card. But I purchased an SD card reader and that was when my big problems started.
Now everytime I try to read the card, the Axim locks up.
If I try to read the card on the desktop using the reader it ends up locking up.
Everytime I insert the card in the Axim it prompts me to format the card. If I hit yes, it locks up for a minute, but nothing happens. It's not really formatting the card.
I emailed SanDisk about this and am requesting that they send me a new one becuase this seems defective.

Is this behavior typical of SD cards, or is just this particular combination of Axim and 128 Sandisk?

Seems to be a problem with some SanDisk cards and Axims. I'd stay away from SanDisk if possible....

I talked to tech suppport at Sandisk and they said they have seen a trend of their cards not working with Axims, and at this point they are just replacing the cards when they don't work.

They are replacing my 128 mb card, and hopefully I won't have a problem with my 64 mb card. But from my conversation with them, they seem to be aware of some sort of compatibility issue and are not making it a hassle to replace the cards.

I would recommend staying away from Sandisk at this point too, at least until they figure out what's wrong.
