Dell Axim 400Mhz X5 PDA $257 at Dell Home

Found another deal thought I would share.

Dell Home has the Dell Axim on sale with 10% off and has a $35 off coupon code for a total of $257.50 with free shipping and no tax most states. Search for coupon code on the web or at my site. Ends 8/6

***Deal is dead***

Agreed. This was on "slickdeals.com" today:

Apply coupon code DCD4E569E02C for $35 off $300 at Dell Home software & peripherals section. It can be combined with the current automatic 10% off Dell branded items, digicams and memory. Free shipping. No tax for most states.

Best item to get is the Axim X5 400 MHz PocketPC for $325 - auto 10% - $35 = $258.

Just follow the link in Rasputin's signature. On his website click on the link, "Dell Home Deals on 10% off Software & Peripherals & coupon code $35 off $300". Then click on "Dell Axim link". Add it to your cart, proceed to checkout, enter coupon code, and you're done.

it's probably not available for system orders, you have to find the standard axim bundle, search for 4001YR or something

I just went through the direct link on my site to the dell Axim X5 and added the stackable coupon code and it worked fine. Make sure to remove any Dell SB coupon codes that won't work anyway with Dell Home.

If you go through dellhome.com it doesn't seem to work, definitely follow the link or go to slickdeals.net

Just placed my order. Now I can cancel my 2003 upgrade CD

Yes, this is the standard unit with cradle. Better jump on this fast looks like they moved the expiration to 8/5 instead of 8/8. So it should expire around 11PM Central time.

maybe i'll start posting like crazy since i've joined u guys and am gettin an Axim--

so is it better to buy this advanced then the basic...i mean i saw a billion threads discussing it.... and i dont care about $$$ and stuff... i just wanna know the difference in performance in terms that are easy to understand.... like... twice as better... a little better... a lot better.... haha

my other choices were

Zire 71 (no wireless capabilities so i didnt get it)

Sony Clies (wireless card cost $130!!! added to the insane cost of the nx models and wutnot)

Got one at $257 and return the other Axim Advance with A04 (Can't upgrade due 1/13 error) under 30 days return policy. Save me around $40.

Thanks Dell

I think it is a lot better a friend of mine has the basic and to me it seems slow, doesn't it also have mor ROM memory too? I thought it was 32 vs. 48 MB or ROM memory.. Where I see the difference seems to be on videos and on video games the most.

if money isnt an issue you will want the extra RAM and ROM--from my experience some programs are only happy if they're installed on main memory. i try to avoid installing there unless i have no choice, but it's good to know that i have that option. you'll probably also feel better knowing that you got the fastest version--even if there isn't a big difference or any at all, you'll still feel better. and with a price difference of only $58, the advanced is probably a better deal anyway.
