Thanks for this info. Just went out and got one. Works fine so far. It rang up as $69.98 and they took 12% off of that and then gave me the rebate form.

some PNY SD is made in Japan. some is made in China, some is made in Taiwan. (happycheesecake's website.) it's a crapshoot.

I picked up the last 256MB SD card at my local Staples this afternoon. Mine is a Japanese card :)

The markings on the back are hard to read, but here's my best effort...

MADE IN JAPAN

I haven't tried stress testing it, but I've been reading and writing to it all night.
