I have been using a 64 MB SD card from ScanDisk since I got my Axim--about a month and a half. So far, never had a problem (knock on wood) and soft reset often just to get a fresh boot. (Old habit from my Windows 95/98 days.)

I'm tempted to get the 256 MB card, but I still have about half of the 64 MB, and I need to use the cash for a keyboard, which is a more pressing concern.

Now...pockettop wireless or Dell keyboard???????? I'm gonna keep checking out posts and reviews.

So what's the deal here?? A batch of bum cards? Or just a group of unlucky people? Either way, I was going to purchase an SD card, and now I'm thinking that one of these online deals may not be such a deal if I have to return it via mail, pay for postage, wait for a new one...etc. Although you might pay a few more bucks, perhaps there is an advantage to purchasing something over-the-counter at a local store. If I have a problem with the card, I could instantly return it for another instead of waiting a few weeks for everything. Murphy's Law dictates that if something can go wrong, it will!!! :P

If it was just a *FEW* more bucks, I would agree, but I have been shopping for a 128MB SD card, and the cheapest one of that size has been $47... I am getting TWICE the storage for only 8 dollars more..
To me, that is more than a few dollars..

Of course, this is assuming that my rebate goes through.. I have never had good luck with mail-in rebates...
