You can...but whether you should is a different question.
You will need a CF WiFi card to use with the Ax and a PC Card/CF adapter that will allow you to use the CF WiFi in the PC Card slot of the laptop (unless your laptop has a CF slot). Perhaps someone else can answer whether any PC Card/CF adapter will allow you to use a WiFi card with the laptop (the main use of the adapters seems to be accessing memory cards) or whether you need a special PC Card adapter that is specially designed for this like the one referenced below.
SanDisk recently came out with a CF WiFi card that also comes with a PC Card adapter for the express purpose of using the same WiFi card for PC and PPC usage. Here is a link to the product description in SanDisk's site:

Here is a link to a press release that announces the above product as well as combo cards that combine both WiFi adapters and memory into a single card (both CF and SD). The plain WiFi card is available now, but the combo cards won't be out until March or later.

The reason why I question why you should do this is $ and convenience. Just yesterday I saw a deal on techbargains for a PC Card WiFi adapter for $15 after rebate. You can get CF WiFi cards for as low as $30-40 if you catch the rebates right, but even non-sale prices can be had at $60. The SanDisk card above with adapter runs for $85 at MobilePlanet. If you can shop around and get separate cards for
each device for the same price as getting one that would be shared, I would see that as a better deal. If nothing else, you will save the wear and tear on your connections from having to plug and unplug cards all the time.
