Black and Decker Decker CP120B 20 Watt Power Backup Battery 2-Pack $20

http://www.woot.com/

Today only, woot.com is having their annual April Fool's day goof. In this case, it comes in the form of a two-for-tuesday deal (yes, the deal is real) wootoff. The joke here is that during a normal wootoff, as soon as a certain item sells out, it is replaced with something different. Today, when they sell a certain number, they announce "sold out" and then put the thing up again, with a new write-up and new pictures. Click on the product picture, by the way.

Why should you care? It's portable backup power for your usb powered or recharged devices. Product specs say it will also supply AC power to lower-powered devices. I will use it to recharge my Sansa E260 on the fly. Maybe my Axim, too, if I can get it working again.

I just bought one of these the other day at a local Target store. Looks like they're clearing these out. I've seen it at a couple of the local stores, but at varying prices.

Haven't had time to do a comprehensive test. Seems to take forever to fully charge, getting a green light. Works fine to charge my Ipaq 210 via USB. There is also an AC plug.

The one time I tried it, my Ipaq was on and in use. The battery charge did continue to go up.

If I recall, it's got a maximum of 4 hour charge, depending on what you're charging with it.

It is a little large and heavy, at least compared to pictures & spec of other chargers I've seen. Worth 15-20$ though, definitely.
