Not by a significant amount. If you look here on this site, you will see some postings of a supplier that is selling 1GB CF Cards for $249 shipping included.

As for the Microdrive being faster, I am not for sure, but I think the CF is faster, since it has no moving parts and doesn't have to wait for the drive to get up to speed before it can read from it.


Still that is a great price for the microdrive.
